I bought a Corbin Gunfighter for my previous bike, a Kawasaki Ninja 500. The seat was very good-looking (looked a lot cooler than the stock). It was more comfortable not so much because of different foam but because the saddle is wider and lower than stock, so the 'load' is spread over a larger area.
I used it for longer rides, but found for riding in town that it sucked because the stitching would let in water, so if it rained and you hopped on you got a nice soaking wet pair of pants!
For local riding I just stuck to using the stock seat because at least the cover was a single piece of nylon and thus kept rain out.
I would recommend that instead you take your original seat to a local auto upholsterer. Ask at your local motorcycle shops; they'll probably be able to recommend someone with experience at doing motorcycle seats. A good upholsterer can alter the seat while you try it out to make sure you get a "good fit" and are happy with the seat. Also, you'll get a better choice of colors and materials, and the cost will probably be a lot less. I've seen some seats made locally that look really sharp and that the owners are happy with.
